Walter Ageno is Head of the High Intensity Medicine Unit of the University Hospital of Padua, Italy and Professor of Medicine at the Department of Medicine of the University of Padua in Italy. Ageno previously served as the Chai of the Italian Society of Hemostasis and Thrombosis and the Chair of the Scientific Subcommittee Board of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis. He is member of the Guidelines and Guidance Committee and previously served as member of the World Thrombosis Day committee. Ageno is associate editor for the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.

Marc Carrier, MD, MSc, is Head of the Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine at The Ottawa Hospital, a Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa and a Senior Scientist in the Clinical Epidemiology Program of The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute in Canada. Carrier previously served as the Chair of the ISTH Scientific and Standardization Committee from 2020-2022, and as a member of the local organizing committe for the ISTH 2023 Congress. He was recenting named an ISTH Outstanding Mentor in 2024.
