Cancer-associated thrombosis (CAT) is one of the most frequent and serious complications in oncology and remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with cancer.
Several international scientific societies—including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the European Hematology Association (EHA), the European Myeloma Network (EMN), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH)—have developed evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for the prevention and treatment of CAT.
Despite these advances, substantial gaps remain between guideline recommendations and their implementation in routine clinical practice, driven by variability in healthcare systems, limited awareness, organizational barriers, and the complexity of oncology care pathways.
This workshop will bring together international experts and key stakeholders to bridge the gap between evidence and clinical practice, identify barriers, and define practical, coordinated strategies to improve guideline implementation and patient outcomes. Register here.
